Lostgame Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 I really can't stand Leopard anymore. The complete lack of useful new features leave me wallowing in my applications incompatibility, particularly with Apps like Shapeshifter, and as I'm a huge fan of customizing any OS, I can't stand it anymore. However, I've installed many applications and really don't feel like starting all over again. How can I do it safely? I've heard enough 'it's not possible' already, you guys are smart enough that if we work together we can come up with a solution that will work for every one of us that wants to say 'no' to Apple, I mean, really, I can't stand it anymore... Embio Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 copy to a USB drive, mount on fresh tiger install, migration assistant. or the old fashioned way - first two steps, then just copy apps, docs, media, and BOTH application support folders. Colonel Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 When you run the Leopard installer, just do an Archive and Install, it makes a backup of your apps and home folder, then installs Leopard. Once Leo finishes installing, you can move your apps and files back over.
