A Nonny Moose Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Apple has filed a patent for a laptop docking station. The thing is, they did this several years ago and called it the DuoDock. Maxdicapua Posted January 10, 2008 Share Posted January 10, 2008 mmmmm looks interesting. after looking at the actual patent at: http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser...=DN/20080002350 It seems like a bit of an odd concept, what would the screen be used for? and it also says "the display is configured to display an image rendered by a portable computer at least when the portable computer is docked in the housing." which would mean that it would most probably be displaying the screen of the mac or more interestingly it could be an apple tv like application to come on new macs, also this could be the dawn of an actual tv made by apple? Ernest Defoe Posted January 14, 2008 Share Posted January 14, 2008 I used to own a MacBook Duo. It was the first laptop I owned and second Mac. It was painfully slow, and could never get programs installed until I found out one of my professors at college had a dock cause he had the same laptop.
