But now when I burn that one iso file with magic iso it wont burn. It burns but gives a empty disc back.

Can anyone pls help us

Hi

Mine was a ZIP file - unzipped.

I have a folder, like

_MacOS

and another like

Kallaway LEO SW22 and 33 (something like).

Then there is an ISO in each folder - one is 60KB (?) and the pther is like 4.5GB

So I am confused.

Pls help

  • 4 months later...

The reason there are lots of threads is folks with experience get tired of helping those who stop by to post 1 or 2 messages asking for help without even trying to learn what is wrong on their own. Furthermore, the simple problems (such as this thread) indicate a person who likely won't make it through the install process of OSx86 and should likely go buy a macbook.

So, there, it just gets tiring..... :D

You can say that, but I have spent countless hours searching and trying before posting. I was not talking just of experienced users. NOOBS too, they should post results after finding an answer instead of leaving everyone hanging.

Any chance you could help with my FAILURE to install? :)

The answer to this thread is the one with about 3.5 GB. The one in the MAC_OS folder is WAY too small.

I am up and running now. Just have to work out some consistency issues. It seems that while surfing my system locks up, and I continually have to press -f on the Darwin load prompt to get my USB WIFI to work.

the reason why you have two iso files is one is made by osx itself for caching/syncing purposes which you may learn later by yourself using google tool...

you dont touch on small file as it is created automatically by osx to be used for syncing purposes, and is not a valit file, just special information in it for the file...

the file you need to use is the big X gb one... burn and boot with that...

also agree with newbmac... there are thoussands of new topics every min because there are way too many stupid idiots around, unable to use a search engine, but like to do garbage all around who are trying to install something when they have no clue about even using a computer or internet at best... everything is out there, but people are 1) lazy 2) totally dumb

when you understand a little bit of osx you will understand why i say that... (of course if you understand the whole thing in general)

@greg zee german: also the reason why you are able to install is because my team worked hard to get an nforce friendly dvd which makes it extremely easy to use... you wont understand it now, but check my signature, you have answers to all your problems on my topic, but i guess you are a lazy azz type to figure out how to find it...

Actually it was your stuff that I used and I was very grateful. Your rudeness has certainly lowered that level though. Another part of the reason I wanted to switch was to enter a new and different group of pc users. Looks like people are the same everywhere. If you look up and read all of the posts you'll see that I was not talking any smack.

Also, as far as searching this forum...It has to have the worst functioning search tool ever.

Thank you for the time you did put into making your product.

Sorry I haven't been using this system and software for very long. I hope that in the future, if I ever do ask a question that it is up to your standards. I bow to your awesomeness, and will try never bother you again.

i dont think you understand half of what i m talking about... and when you start to understand you will know why people become rude, and when they are polite...

for example; you guys are talking about two iso files, in common sense you should already eliminate 60 kb one automatically, bcoz no OS can be 60 kb long... which means you are wasting time for not understanding the very basic bottom line...

not to mention people complain about how to burn 30 rar files to a dvd where they dont even know how to extract file, in fact they are not even good at using windows, and trying to install osx... when the situation is like this, forums everywhere is flooded with lots of {censored} garbage made by stupid people, who cant read a {censored} in the forum, even everything is written there... if search tool doesnt work, use teh fking google, just type the word/sentence and add insanelymac at the end, see what comes out? not clever enough ey? why bother even try to install osx, and waste people's space and time?

it sounds {censored} to you I am sure, but when you understand what i m talking about you will understand actually how kind i was telling you these... because i usually spend time and try to help people, who have a bit of sense what they are doing... but if you dont know how to crowl how can u ask people to teach you how to run? and jump?

You're right. I've never been a forum member before. This is the first time that I've ever wanted to try and learn something new from experienced people. You Sir, sound like a jerk.

Did you ever think that maybe not everyone is even kind of familiar with Mac? Well, we're out here. Maybe Windows didn't recognize the files on the cd, or couldn't calculate for it? Did you ever think of that? Your first post on your how-to says to make a sig and then follow the directions, then search, then if you have any other problems to ask. I followed those requests and then wasn't rude, and you flamed.

Still though, thanks for your work on the product. Just because you're good at doing computer stuff doesn't mean you have to be good with people. I love how the internet makes people forget how to be nice to one another. If someone asks a question that has already been answered you can kindly refer them to the proper post. You are the InsanelyMac.com advocates for these so-called 1 posters. Hell yeah they only post one or two times. Why the {censored} would they want to join your community if it is fully of people that are jerks to them. I'm really enjoying my first few posts here, on this nearly insignificant thread that you seem to have found interesting.

And if you'll notice, once I did do some more experimenting I came back and answered the dude's question. That's all he wanted. That's all anyone wanted. No need for this {censored} flaming match. So if we can move on here, that would be great. Maybe then, we could do something productive for the public. Seeing as how that seems to be the one common goal we have.

Thanks for your time and effort with this software. I and other NOOBS appreciate the time it took you to save us time on the installs.
