walterav Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Your bootloader is SCREWED... It took ONE day to figure this out... RE-install leopard... during install in DISKUTILITY CHOOSE 0-ERASE, this will take a couple of hours to wipe your harddisk "really" clean but a couple of minutes to wipe the MBR"bootloader" is enough so skip after a couple of minutes after that, partition to MBR"higher chance than GUID" in the normal way and continue your install... that works here... rjtd Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 If you have grub, just add an entry with the kernel being EFIV8 boot_v8 file. You will then be able to multiple-boot every OS on the system, even MacOSX. Hagar Posted January 5, 2008 Share Posted January 5, 2008 Wiping and zeroing & reinstalling is not only overkill, but may not work. All that is needed is a manual bootloader install. The "kalyway make bootable hd" cd is designed specifically for this task, if you don't feel brave enough to try it yourself from scratch.
