Heres my problem, when sudo -s is typed into the terminal, or a program like virginizer prompts my to put in my password in the terminal, I can't type. THe only thing i can do is control c to abort. Anyone else out there have this problem? It is a real pain in the butt and I can't install any kernels :(

well, does this only happen with the "-s" option? try for example "sudo bash" or "sudo su -" .... this will give you a root terminal.

not to see what you are typing is okay, this does not mean that it doesn´t get the input.
