I have a USB BT Adapter from LevelOne which worked without any problems on 10.4.1 but does not anymore on 10.4.3. I can see it in the system profiler but I get no Bluetooth icon in the top task bar and when I try to launch BT exchange app it says that I do not have bluetooth.

Is there any kext I have to look for in order to get BT wokring, where can I find it and what is it called.

I replaced mine with the BT kexts from 10.4.4, and they are working fine. Maybe this works for you, too. I do not have a LevelOne Stick, but I think they are

widcom-based chips inside, too. You can find the 10.4.4. kext download here somewhere in the forum.

i just copied 2 kext form 104.4 and my BT keys still doesnt communicate wit my nokia

anyone has a working package including FRAMEWORKS for BT?

Did you do a chown and chmod and kextcache on the files?

Any pointers to the 10.4.4 kexts for bluetooth? I can't find them anywhere...

Thanks in advance.

Here you go: pass: x86 <snipped>

I deleted the kextcache files manually and repaired permissions via Disk Utility.

From what I know, it does the same as you mentionned above, and my BT key is recognized anyway and sees my Nokia phone. The thing is, I can't send any data to it, and vice versa since 10.4.3 drivers.

Yes you are right, can't be the kexts.

Hmmm... Ok, you tried to pair them, but it does not detect it, even if you don't choose "Mobile phone" explicit,

but "any device"?

You can also try this, here at macosxhints, It will set your configuration back to standard, in case there is some

bad entry, that prevents your PC from connecting it:

Good luck :)

Could someone possibly help me with changing the kext files. I have an IOGear Dongle, and it seems to show up, but it does say device unknown. If someone could give me some step by step instructions on how to get my bluetooth to work, I will be forever in your debt. Thanks,

Here's another BT dongle that will work for 10.4.3, no modifications required.

Dlink DBT-120

managed to to transfer files between my Sony Ericsson T637 and OSx86. I'm pretty sure the GPRS modem will work too, but I haven't tried it, because I don't remmeber the number and user/pass for my mobile service provider.

I don't get what's going on with mine, I can see it in the system profiler, and if I unplug it, it does show that it is disconnected, yet... I can't pair anything that is bluetooth. Could I PLZ get a lil help here.
