ocZZZ
I have a p5k premium running leopard and I am getting poor disk performance with my sata drive on any of the sata ports on the mb. My xbench disk score is around 60 with the random disk test really low at 27. Any help would be very much appreciated.http://db.xbench.com/merge.xhtml?doc1=2622...;setCookie=true Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79688-any-new-disk-driver-for-p5k-slow-xbench-disk-results/ Share on other sites

ocZZZ
Wow, this is the second time I've asked a question with no response - not the most helpful forum I guess. Is there noone who is having slow disk problems with their p35 board? I can't be the only one :/ Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79688-any-new-disk-driver-for-p5k-slow-xbench-disk-results/#findComment-566993 Share on other sites
lindmar
If you look through the Xbench results of ALL hackintoshes. We all have slow disk speeds. But I dont see much talk about it anywhere. Not just your mobo. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79688-any-new-disk-driver-for-p5k-slow-xbench-disk-results/#findComment-567164 Share on other sites

After spending nearly $1k trying different drives over the years, I found exactly the drives that are used in real Mac Pro's (I think). It is a certain kind of maxtor drive. Check out my sig and Xbench score...this drive is WAY faster than my Raptor (probably 30% faster than, at least). /mdg.
