sdelano
So I have gotten Leopard installed (iATKOS), but i am running into a few problems running some downloaded apps. I tried to download both Firefox 3b2 and Adium, and when trying to run both I get an error stating that the application "is not supported on this architecture". Is there any way to fix this? What is the problem? Are these programs not universal or am I missing something? Thanks, sdelano Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79680-not-supported-by-this-architecture/ Share on other sites

Thanks, sdelano get the info window of the desired app ( click the "more info" button) if it says: Application (PowerPC) then you need a working rosetta layer ( which doesnt work in the IATKOS release, i guess) or dl a universal version of the app. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79680-not-supported-by-this-architecture/#findComment-568572 Share on other sites
Headrush69
if it says: Application (PowerPC) then you need a working rosetta layer ( which doesnt work in the IATKOS release, i guess) iAtkos has the rosetta layer. What was removed was the PPC part of universal binaries. (Separate things) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79680-not-supported-by-this-architecture/#findComment-568603 Share on other sites
sdelano
Seems to be working now...only thing I can think is that I installed the Apple Updates a day or 2 ago and that may have solved my issues. I really dont know though Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/79680-not-supported-by-this-architecture/#findComment-569358 Share on other sites
