:D okay.

i have an MPC Clientpro 414, and a copy of JaS osx86 10.4.8 dvd

pentium 4 3ghz, 1.5gb ram, 80gb hard drive, broadcom netxtreme ethernet, dvd drive, some intel sound thing, and ati mobility x600 (M24).

everything worked out of the box except 1 thing: the video card.

i edited that com.apple.plist file or whatever it is and got my resolution unstuck from 1024x768 to a native 1280x1024 on my lcd. but i don't have QE or CI.

as far as i know, this card (ATI Mobility X600, 64MB Dedicated) should've worked out of the box, or at least the desktop version does. how do i get QE and CI to work? i don't know much about these com.apple.plist files or hex or kext, or whatevers, but if i'm given good instructions, i'll work it out and post back my results.

thanks!!

hi

you can get qe ci with the X600

first you need to make clean install of tiger, download and use this patch (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=30084).

you must replace your current OpenGL.framworks by OpenGL.framworks of 10.4.6

restor permissions and reboot

now you must have QE ci

it work only with tiger, not working for Leopard

I own an IBM T43P with 128m ATI 3200 recognized as an X600 (ID 3154)On a fresh install of an 10.4.10, **BEFORE*** rebooting i erased all ATIRadeon8500 and ATIRadeon1000 and all ATIradeon9700 kext, OpenGL.framework and eventually callisto kextscopy ATIRadeon9700* kext from a **KOVERG-ed** 10.4.5 install which were on a separate USB disk whose ID was set to 3154 an in the **SAME** time copy OpenGl.framework and Callisto* kexts from this 10.4.5 disk and ...as we say in french when w'll WIN on English squad in 6 Nations Tournament... ! VOILI,VOILA! IT RUNS CI AND QE.All ATIRadeon9700 kexts to copy from 10.4.5 and absolutely===>Don' t forget repairing permissions with diskutil before rebootingBonne chance!
