If you're referring to an Unattended Installation, it's just as the title says -- it's an unattended installation of Windows.

Some unattended installations already have the serial built in, so the setup asks minimal questions (if any at all).

From my knowledge, the original full XP setup has a stupid prompt in the MIDDLE of setup, and asks you where your location is, your network settings, etc. Unattended installers usually bypass this.

Correct. Unattended Installations are mainly used for corporations which have a wide number of computers but more and more people are making their own. Also unattended installations can be configured to install certain programs at installation.
