AMWN
I want to edit / delete files and apply patches in some kind of terminal. But how do I come in the terminal without starting OSX. Is there an option for it at start? you know, same as windows xp cd... put it in and type R, and I can edit the files on my HD... Found it: Mediafour Macdrive 6, you can edit it in windows... temis
you can use terminal in osx86 use sudo -s + password and do what users can't do since you are root otherwise enter -x at boot prompt and you will get a sort of command line : it is safe mode for osx86 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7814-how-to-edit-delete-files-without-a-working-install-yet/#findComment-49187 Share on other sites
Technobob
Type -s at boot and you will go into single user mode which will give you terminal like interface OR You can use the install DVD and while in the install go to the top click tools>terminal Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7814-how-to-edit-delete-files-without-a-working-install-yet/#findComment-49188 Share on other sites
