Hi!

I have finally managed to install Leopard 10.5.1 on my PC, and I tried to install the 30-day trial of iWork 08 from Apple's homepage. But after installation, when I try to start one of the programs, the problems start. After I've tried to start one of the programs, only the "toolbar" (I guess that's what you call the top line i Leopard?) changes to, lets say "Pages". But this is how far I can come. There is no program actually showing up, which doesn't help me that much :hysterical:

So, does anybody have any tips on how I can manage to start Pages, Numbers and Keynote successfully? I really need Keynote for a presentation in 2008, so every single tip is highly appreciated!

EDIT: Programs included in the Kalyway realese, like iTunes, starts up perfectly!

Yes, your graphics card must support core image (CI) and quartz extreme (QE). If you go into "about this Mac" and look at your graphics card, check to make sure these are supported. If not, check the forums or nvinject.free.fr if you are using NVidia. All the answers will be there. A lot of the Mac applications require QE/CI - even Time Machine.

Cheers.

I have ToH 10.5 updated to 10.5.1 with efi and vanilla kernel, with fully working QE and CI under ATI X1600 PCI-E (0x71c3).

Any ideas whats going on? Maybe because its trial version with key-vitamin and period is over?

If you can not open any of the programs from iWorks this will fix it most of the time. If you have not installed any new fonts, this is not for you.

Go to User > Library > Fonts ( you have to use this root font folder, you can not do it from Font book)

Cut and Paste all the fonts to your desktop, or another folder better yet. Now try opening Pages. If it works now then it’s a corrupt font. I would start by deleting any ones that will not show up under a thumbnail. Then, you will have to reintroduce all the fonts one by one. Here’s my suggestion:

Play the intro video and drag and drop the files one by one, or ten by ten. The minute that Page stops working that means that you put the corrupt font back; delete it. Kinda tedious, but worked for me. Now all iWorks opens, and Photoshop does not stop scrolling on corrupt fonts.

Hope it helps someone out!
