eradicator006
I can shut down and sometimes reboot....Most of the time when I reboot, my machine hangs at the POST screen. This only happens when I have been running OSX for a while. berehon
Oh, I can't reboot too. It seems because of motherboard. It is the same - MSI 915GLM. Although I heard people have same problems with other mobos. letni
I have a Geforece 6100 Based GA-K8N51GMF-9 by Gigabyte. With Athlon 64 and onboard video native SSE3. Hangs everytime on reboot. I do have a dual boot setup to boot XP and 10.4.3 8f1111a(g) and its set up to use chain0. Shutdown works great. Haven't tried X86PC option on boot or ACPI to see if makes a difference Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7744-can-u-reboot-in-x86-osx/#findComment-48888 Share on other sites

Tek_No
I can reboot and shutdown both from within Finder and from a terminal... In the beginning I was only able to properly shutdown and not restart until I downloaded the Power Management driver: see http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...ower+management After this everything worked out fine for me... I'm on 10.4.3 Build 8f1111g running on a HP Pavilion ZT3010EA laptop (Centrino 1.4gHz) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7744-can-u-reboot-in-x86-osx/#findComment-48936 Share on other sites
