mse
I guess because of Leopard. There is no Leopard driver for RME's in support page.

macita
Find the trouble.... I must use a firewire based on Texas Instruments chipset....
phile
I'm using the Fireface 800 interface with iAtkos 10.5.1(V1.0i) installer and it works fine - same with the Kalyway 10.5.1 installer. However, as was just said, use a Firewire 400 or 800 interface that has a Texas Instrument chipset. RME has an extended rap on their website about what is wrong and right with a variety of firewire cards which is well worth reading. Never had any problem using the Fireface 800 with a variety of hardware platforms and OS X from 10.4.7 and up.
