will it have a "root device error"? Cause i have experienced that with the Deadmoo dvd image. Thus i gave up. But since i've been hearing that the new version of mac (8f1111) was better/stable/compatiable. So.... will it?

Give the JaS patched iso a go. From the specs in your signature you should at least get it to load and boot up OK. Just read the other threads to get some idea of the problems you might find. Check the MD5s (also detailed in other threads) before burning, whichever burn tool you use, make sure you verify after burning. Use -v for the install boot option so if there's a problem you can come back here and tell us exactly where it happens. And good luck!

bumpy, bumpy, i want this to work. O please mighty uber mac hackers!
Please do a little search and reading on SIS963 and SIS chipset in general and you will find that this second or third tier chipset maker, while competent and has good performance, is unlikely ever to be supported by OSX. The root device error usually means the HD and or controller can't be recognized. Spend a bit of money and try a compatible mobo and your life will be so much easier with OSX. Good luck.
