vlad1966
OK - this is very frustrating - I have ToH RC2 I can install Leopard with no problem but after the install, I get that b0 error, so the HDD I installed to isn't able to boot. I've tried 3 or 4 of the different post-patch methods floating around this website, and they all seem to have problems in helping to get my Leopard HDD able to boot. Why even bother putting out a distro if the damn thing isn't even able to make your HDD bootable after install. I plan on trying iATKOS (if it ever comes out) - does anyone know if this will have the same types of problems? If iATKOS doesn't work, I'll probably wind up buying a new Mac Pro once they are announced @ MW '08. Too bad - I really enjoy building my own computers, and having 10.5 run on it instead of a POS like Windows would be nirvana. kadmiff
The easiest way I found was to install tiger first then Leopard over the top... But in saying that, That Error B0 I got after I tried to install efi first then Tiger... ??? I would try tiger then leopard if you dont want to manually add the boot files... Fatherless One
I've just had the same experience (b0 error) this morning, I'll try the Tiger then Leopard install shortly, my fingers are crossed. Donw35
Sounds like Partition issues, I had the same problem too, I got the Kalyway OSX boot cd and use it to format the drive and the b0 error was gone and my hp7600 is working great as my desk top mac. _:_M-F-D-K_:_
You need to set the leopard partition active chaps, and this is even if you have a whole hard disk to leopard you still need to do this in order to load from HDD. 1. Start from CD and press F8 when prompted, 2. type -s and click enter and wait until the whole writting has stopped than, 3.type fdisk -e /dev/rdiskx and hit enter (where "x" is put the number of the hard disk you using for leopard, 0 is for one hard disk) than, 4. type update and hit enter 5. type f 1 and hit enter ("1" is for one partition only, so if you have two partition than it should be 2 and so on) 6. type w and hit enter 7. type q hit enter and reboot That should solve your problem mate.
