Odrec
Well I use a Zoom ADSL X5 Modem/Router and it has a USB connection. The modem itself comes with no drivers for the USB port but they can be found in several places. If such items coule be used in OS x86 it would solve the problem for a fraction of the people out there that have unsupported NIC devices. http://www.sustworks.com/site/news_usb_ethernet.html http://www.sustworks.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php...thernetAdaptors Currently if I plug my modem to the USB System Profiler recognizes it as a Communication device and all specs appear correctly, nonetheless this device ins not accesible as a networking device and obviously is not available in the System Preferences. Perhaps a not so far away work around.

DHCP does'nt not work and if I put the public address in network preferences does not work also... any idea?

Motorola modems have internal router, I think yours too....gateway IP is 192.168.100.1 Try configuring manually setting the device IP something like : IP Adress: 192.168.100.5 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Router:192.168.100.1 It should work
