epborden
Well I downloaded and burned an image of 10.5.1, booted from the DVD, and while loading it all seems to stop on this: ERROR: FireWire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure. ... and then it reboots my PC. So, what could the problem be here, and why does my PC keep restarting after this comes up? I'd link to the image I downloaded, but I'm not sure if that is allowed..? razorbladex401
I had the same problem. If you can disable Firewire (IEEE 1394) from your bios then I suggest you do so. That's how I got mine to work on my Asus board. Or you can just unplug the interface by hand. macgirl
That error does nothing harmful, don't worry. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/76034-problem-with-installation-1051/#findComment-537124 Share on other sites
