angel___eyes Posted December 12, 2007 Share Posted December 12, 2007 system:- AMD 6000+ ASUS M2N-E SLI 2GB ddr-2 8600GT _________________________________________ installation completed successfully...... but when i tried 2 boot into the X, i got the kernal panic error.... tried many times,,but all in vain... then i installed the 8800 320 wala drivers,,, from the dvd....leopard,,, and now i m not getting the panic error...check outthe screen attached...... after this screen the system hangs....and nothing happens... how 2 pass this screen..and boot into X..... thanx angel Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
judgedeath2 Posted December 12, 2007 Share Posted December 12, 2007 To my experience, you can't use any 8800 kexts with the 8600GT, there is currently no hardware or QE/CI support for the 8600 series. Run Leopard in Console Mode (-s). Mount your disk with the instruction on screen and delete all the nvidia and geforce kexts from /System/Library/Extensions/ and you should be able to boot again.
