I installed the latest ToH-Release without any problems. It took 10-15 minutes.

The first restart after copying the whole files the system didn't start with a CPU kernel panic error.

Are there any special Bios-Settings I have to change to fix this problem?

GA-P35-DS3R-User could you please post your Bios-Setting or any hints on solve this Error?

I've got:

- intel c2d E6600

- gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R (ich9r chipset)

- geforce 8800 gtx

- both hd and dvd sata

- usb mouse/keyboard

- lan/soundcard/serial port disabled

I thought there should be no problem with this hardware. Is there a deeper difference between GA-P35-DS3R and GA-P35C-DS3R?

Any suggestion to avoid the CPU kernel panic?

assuming that you can boot without the dvd:

1) boot from you hard drive with leopard on it

2) when the bios {censored} is done, start mashing F8 (hit it over and over really fast) until you get boot options

3) type: -v <press enter>

4) try to see what is causing the kernel panic. It should show you a debugger, telling you what kext (or driver) is trying to load when the kernel panic starts.

For me, on a GA P35-DS3P, I had to delete AppleEFIRuntime.kext in order to boot properly.

make sure all SATA are enabled, and set to AHCI mode. I dont think it was necesary for me to disable anything else. that was using PS/2 mouse + keyboard , 7600 GT, 2GB RAM, e6750 Core 2 duo, brazilmac, pc_efi_v8 + guid.

btw, do you mean that it started properly once, and then stopped working?

post a pic of what you get when you boot with -v if you can't figure it out. If you fix it, tell us

Big THX to you socal swimmer ;) I'll inform you for the results.

I'll give this a try when I'm back from work.

The system never started properly once. I booted from DVD because I had the blinking cursor problem and the PC didn't boot from hd. I think I'll first go for fixing this error.
