penarol Posted December 10, 2007 Share Posted December 10, 2007 Hi Last friday my system it´s turned off but at 1:00h automatically turn on.I see the schedule but there isn´t actions programed. Please tell me what is the option in bios for disable this? penarol Posted December 13, 2007 Author Share Posted December 13, 2007 Hi I try with a fresh install of toh leopard + Pc efi 5.1 & vanilla kernel with the same results. My system at 1:00 autowake. The solution is turn off in backside of my pc but i don´t like this. Please if any help me are welcome. If not I would actually physically unplug the hard drive, turn on your computer, get a failed boot, and turn off your computer. If you computer starts up at 1 am your problems are inside your bios. more or less Posted December 15, 2007 Share Posted December 15, 2007 Check both your BIOS LAN settings and your LAN settings under the Network in System Proferences in OS X. This sounds like the "wake from sleep" or "remote power on" via LAN. I always have to disable this as both my router and ISP have dynamic IP and it will wake my computer from being powered off to reset the connection unless I disable this feature. The flip side is you may often have to "fix" your connection from time to time if your computer fails to properly adjust to the changes. I see in my bios clock a one hour less of diference with the system clock when i change the hour in the system the bios clock show one hour less Is very strange!!!!!!!! This is not strange. This is normal behavior for all Unix systems. Hardware is set to GMT time, local time displayed is calculated adding or subtracting your time zone difference. In my bios all wake´s options are tuned off In my router i don´t see any feature of this. If any can help...... walterav Posted May 11, 2008 Share Posted May 11, 2008 Hello there This System wakes at 2:00 am in the morning!!! Read the whole Story its really LEOPARD and SOFTWARE RELATED. The LEOPARD system powerup "Schedule..." WORKS on a Hackintosh!!! GoTo: System Preferences > EnergySaver > Schedule... "Start up/Wake" or "Sleep/Restart/Shutdown" They all work at all given Days/Times!!! Yippie!!! Situation: WHEN DISABLING THE "Start up / Wake" time, (when played with it before!!!) the System will just wake at 2:00 am in the morning, maybe 1:00 am when not in Summer Time. This is so STRANGE. No IDEA where LEOPARD stores the POWERON/POWEROFF information, its definitely not in the BIOS, its maybe in the EFI-BOOTLOADER, Where is it? It's all about the com.apple.AutoWake.plist which is messed up after changing something.
