sethius Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 hi, i have a dell dimension 9200 with an intel ich8r/ich9r raid controller and 2 320GB drives striped (RAID 0 i think), formated as NTFS for use with vista.. i have a lot of data on the partitions on this raid that i need to access under osx.. have there been any developments that would allow me to mount these partitions under osx? thanks.. ninetto Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 The only hardware Raid controller I have heard of working with OSX are the HighPoint RocketRaid cards, cost about 100 USD. It would be interesting to hear if anyone has found a way to use RAID arrays with this card on BOTH OSX and Microsoft, as there are drivers for both systems... SticMAC™ Posted December 9, 2007 Share Posted December 9, 2007 Hi I have the same machine and NO it is not supported under Dell's Hardware RAID! So backup and restore is your only sollution! I've changed over a week ago COMPLETELYto OSX 10.5.1, and used a spare Internal drive to redo My Vista the other day just to get some CorelDRAW files and OMG i couldn't believe how SLOW vista was!! !! It's amazing what happens when you get spoiled!?
