I don't know about the Uphuck DVD but I think it needs a kernel installing. Did you select a kernel when you installed?

If you're using uphuck 10.4.9 1.3, I think I selected the Universal kernel from May 07, and it always worked. I'm on Leopard (flat image) now, everything works out of the box (except mic, & line in). With Uphuck you will have to select Realtek R1000 (for network, not sure about the reference, it's the 1st that comes up anyway), Azalia Audio and GMA950 drivers...

ok ive used uphuck 10.4.9

i ve selected sse3 kernel and the drivers

now at the end of the installation the system starts but i see only a white page in wich there is written that i have to reboot.

if i reboot i see the same white page and so on

what i can do?

thx

Hi guys,

I have my ASROCK Conroe 1333 running BIOS 1.80. This wasn't possible after flashing version 1.40 or later before Kabyl made this workaround.

Thanks to Kabil, I was able to make my Asrock boot Leopard Kalyway 10.5.2.

He made me a modified BIOS 1.80 version in order to run Leopard. I can tell you I tried and it works and I don't have to even change any settings in BIOS.

Here's the link to the moded BIOS: Asrock Conroe 1333 D667 REV. G/A 1.03 - Kabyl - Modified BIOS 1.80

It's great to have BIOS 1.80 because it supports the latest Core 2 Duo CPUs like 8XX and 9XX series.

Please let me know about your experiences.

Notes:

All Credits for the modified Asrock Conroe 1333 667 BIOS goe to Kabyl

Do this at your own risk!!! Anything modified is not supported by manufacturers.

For me it Worked, but there's no guarantee it will work for everyone.

Check your Motherboard Revision before aplying this BIOS. I don't know if it works in other Motherboard Revisions. And I know there are at least 3 revisions of this motherboard. So be careful.

Hi everyone,

I'd like to buy a Wolfdale E8200, but I have no idea where to find the revision version of my card, can someone help me?

Also, I suspect my card to be Revision 1 (Bios 1.30), has someone managed to flash it via kabyl mod bios (supposedly for revision 2)?

I want the upgrade so bad

Just tried the official 1.80 bios, obviously it didn't work, so I went back to 1.30. I wanted to try the modded bios from Kabyl but, it's a dos version and I don't have a floppy disk drive.

Is there any way I could flash my bloody motherboard?

I'd like to flash it and see if it works first before buying the Wolfdale, I might grab a floppy fisk somewhere :s

Yes - use USB - its what I did.

But, I can't get either modded version of the 1.8 bios to work on my rev3 board (the rev 3 offical bioses from ASRock website say rev2 on them so I'd say the difference between the rev2 & 3 is only the audio chip).

Advice welcome. The exisitng OSX partition doesn't boot and the install DVDs bootloader starts and then bomb into booting from the hard drive.

I Set up a USB pen drive to boot the system into dos. On it I loaded the ASROCK Flash program and Kaly's Modified 1.80 bios. Currently I'm running IPC 10.5.6. I haven't got sound yet and the video is a little flakey.

Hello, I have already tried various install, and finally the kaliway. But after a correct install, I get stuck at the gray screen with the apple. Do you think it comes from my graphic card ?

My mobo is an Asrock Conroe 1333-eSata2, do you think I can use Kabyl's moded bios ?

When installing, I have choosen NVInject and Natit once without any result.

My configuration :

Asrock Conroe 1333-eSata2(I945P/G / ICH7)

E7300 + 2Go

Twintech Geforce 9800 GT

SATA hdd and DVD drive

Thanks,

Manasse
