benedictchan
Was able to successfully install Leopard onto my Acer 5570 laptop using ToH's Leopard Install disc. However, after the welcome movie in all those different languages I get to "Do you have a mac" and since I don't hgave a mac, i answer that i don't have one but it just stalls and loops the movie back again. are there any fixes beside reinstalling and installing tiger first than leopard over tiger. microsoft whiz
i had the same problem you're gonna have to put tiger on a small partition. Than Choose: "From A Volume On This Mac" srry Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/75310-looping-welcome-do-you-already-have-a-mac-screen/#findComment-531954 Share on other sites
InorganicMatter
I think it's your IONetworkingFamily.kext. Replace it with the fixed one for Time Machine, in the post-install forum. SticMAC™
i dont know if this MIGHT help.... i got it of a MAC Server forum After the installation, reboot the machine into single person mode (holding down command-S at startup). Once in single user mode, type the following. fsck -fy Then continue: mount -uw / Then: touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone Then: reboot This bypasses the setup and took me straight to the login, which was configured in setup. The server I'm happy to say is so far so good. All settings configured previously in the setup were retained. Hope this helps someone and saves some time. Sorry for the long post..Cheers Hope this might help??? I'm going to do yet ANOTHER reinstall to test it(seeing that i have nothing to do!!
