Leandro BH
Help!!! I've Just instaled a 10.4.9 v1.3 that I downloaded from internet. Then, I've downloaded the kernel for 10.4.11 (8.9.1 made by ToH) and made the automatic software update from Apple. I just selected the Update 10.4.11 combined (Intel). When it finished, before restart, I've applied the new kernel. Now, when booting, it hangs with the message: Debugger called: <panic> Backtrace, Format - Frame : Return Adress (4 potential args on stack) (lines with numbers) Kernel loadable modules in backtrace (with dependencies)Ç com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement(1.6.7)@0x290e8000 Kernel Version Darwin Kernel Version 8.9.1: Sun May 6 17:37:57 UZT 2007; Made by ToH:xnu-792.18.15/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 My computer is an AMD64_3200_Mobile / 1.25GB RAM / R9600M / VIA Chipset..... hecker
You should always make a full backup of your system if you don't know what you're doing. You need to fix the update file in order for it to work on your AMD PC. Leandro BH
Hi Hecker, thanks for the reply. One question: As I am using 10.4.9, do I have to upgrade to .10 and then .11 or can I upgrade directly to 10.4.11? cheers
hecker
Hi, Since you're using an AMD cpu, I would recommend that you first update to .10 and then .11. Let me know if you get stuck with this. Cheers, hecker
