MacVertigo
Does anyone have a blu ray player/burner for their mac? How much did it cost you? And can you copy movies? I just got a PS3 and I want to figure out a way to copy games.
sarahbau
I don't think you can copy movies or games yet, but I don't think it would be worth it at the current price. The drives are about $500, and the discs are $12 each. Unless you're planning on copying a lot of games, it would probably cost less just to buy them. Scorpio123
Not sure about Macs, but PC Blu-Ray drives aren't that expensive anymore.. In fact, LG's bringing out a dual Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drive with Blu-Ray write support that you could find for less than 500 dollars.. But im not sure if the PS3 reads pirated material without a modchip, so i'd do some more research into it first
tazevedo317
i heard somewhere that there is a linux operating system for the playstation 3 that you can install, and it copys games to the hard drive. so you could use that. the only downside is you cant use playstation online. which is the only thing keeping me from it. Cheers.
InorganicMatter
I don't know if it's possible to play BD/HD movies on Macs, mostly due to the fact that Mac OS does not support the evil content protection that Windows does. I guess you could get a USB drive and at least burn/read data discs, but I don't think it's possible to play back movie discs.
