EddM Posted December 10, 2007 Share Posted December 10, 2007 Make sure you do some research and ensure that the services disabled in TinyXP are ones you don't need. These services, in TinyXP, are not just disabled they are removed from the installation completely so you can't just turn them back on. I'm sure you'll appreciate that something this stripped-down is not going to be without it's bugs and flaws, too. I used TinyXP once, but the services needed to share files across a network weren't there so I reverted back to a vanilla XP SP2. If you don't need these services however, then TinyXP is definitely a great find! It's a VERY barebones release, but it's good. The print spooler service is not switched on by default, you have to switch it on (to save RAM...crazy!) That was with first versions of Parallels, have things changed since then? cbmkgd Posted December 11, 2007 Share Posted December 11, 2007 I have no problems exchanging files with the host while using eXPerience's TinyXP (Platinum) or MicroXP as vmware guests, after installing vmware tools.
