topherfitz
I have a just installed the ToH build of OSX86 on a system that has a Q6600 Core 2 Quad CPU, but under the "about this mac" it shows up as a 2.4Ghz Core 2 Solo...any ideas? Is there some sort of patch that I need to install for it to recognize all the cores? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/74436-core-2-quad-shows-up-as-core-2-solo/ Share on other sites

Is there some sort of patch that I need to install for it to recognize all the cores? Thanks I have the same CPU and although System Profiler says that, all 4 cores are working fine. (Directly after ToH RC2 install) Are you asking just about this appearance, or are the other cores not recognized and used? topherfitz
Get the brazilmac dvd and it shows it correctly. I tried to use the Brazil copy about a dozen or so times using different methods and none of them work for me on this particular build. The only thing that has worked is the ToH release. My hardware is the same as the hardware that Lifehacker.com used http://lifehacker.com/software/hack-attack...-800-321913.php The only difference in their hardware to mine is the Q6600 Quad Core and I upgraded the HDD to a 500gig SATA Samsung. Everything else is exactly the same. With that said...any ideas?
