J. Weggemans
Before I buy a Macbook I would like to try OS X Tiger or Leopard on my current laptop. It is a IBM Thinkpad T40. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-58185.html Processor: Intel Pentium M 1.5 Ghz Memory: 1024MB DDR PC2100 Harddisk: Hitachi 30GB 4200RPM Audio: Analog Devices AD1981A AC'97 SoundMAX Codec (Full-duplex) Graphics: 32MB ATI Mobility RADEON 7500 I don't know which WLAN & LAN chips are used. Is this worth a try? Or is there no hope at all?
Stadsport
I had a friend with a T41, and it worked alright but no wifi, and I don't think he had CI/QE, but I'm not sure. In any case, it was functional enough for him to start liking OS X and buy a MacBook.
