Goron
I installaled dsmos.kext from pc_efi_v51 and AppleSMBios.kext from ..._V52. After that I installed Efi v52. The system boots flawlessly and is also capable of booting vanilla kernel Now i´m a bit confused, as my profiler shows up: Model: Mac Manufacturer: To Be Filled By O.E.M What does this mean? Shouldn´t it tell Mac Pro ??? Am I misunderstanding something ??? And: Am i able to install Apple Updates right now, or do i still need a patched update???? The Baron
I think it's something to do with lazy motherboard manufacturers/ resellers not filling in the info for the board. You can install updates dependent on your hardware - best to back up kexts first anyway - you'll probably have to re-mod your graphics settings. Goron
Everything was recognized right out of the box, except onbord sound. I didn´t have to mod anything. Hardware is: ASRock Conroe 1333 DDR2 667 2*2GB DDR2 667 C2D E6550 onboard GMA950 160 GB Maxtor S-ATAII The question is, if i can do Apple Updates now without srewing the sys up? shoarthing
K .... but how do you calculate about 40 MB ?? The softwareupdater offers 109 MB + Quicktime, Itunes and RDP . . my Hack, like the iMacs/MBPros I have upgraded to 10.5.1, was offered the patch update [it is identified as a mac pro & runs all vanilla kexts, with a few edits plus dsmos/NVInject/ALCInject].
