demoniac
Hi! Just installed Mac OS X86 from Jas' 10.4.8 disc. Everything works on my specs! MSI G965MDH-FI Intel Core 2 Duo Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA II ES Geforce FX5200. D-Link DWL-G122 USB. The only thing; I want to install iLife '08, but it says it requires at least 10.4.9... When I click the apple-symbol, and Upgrade, 10.4.11 is listed. Is it safe to download it? Or will something be f***ed up? Mebster
This should be posted in Post-Installation Discussion: OSx86 10.4 (Tiger) Also, there is a method of installing iLife 08 on 10.4.8. I think it has something to do with making the OS appear to be on 10.4.9 or whatever. I don't know where it is so please use the search because there is a method. Good luck Moved. AntarcticP
Hi, I described the method how to install iLife '08 on 10.4.8: see http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=60268&st=0 Look at my answers there. If you want you can update to 10.4.11 using the original Apple update, but be carefull ! You have to backup some kexts and replace them before you reboot. Look at Joe Cargo's method: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=45283. First download the delta updater from the Apple website. Follow the instructions. This worked for me, but I had to reinstall my graphic card kexts (Callisto), so backup these too. Succes, antarcticPL Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73309-upgrading-from-1048-to-10411/#findComment-520219 Share on other sites
