(MoC) Posted November 24, 2007 Share Posted November 24, 2007 Here is a little how to on how to jailbreak your mac and find your iPhone's user agent. This IS intended as a jokish hack like the Wii Shop Channel Hack. 1. Firstly, go to http://jailbreakme.com. There is no option to install the "AppSnapp" jail break. It tells you to go and :censored2: off. You need your iPhone to install. 2. Download Firefox from here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ 3. Install the user agent switcher firefox plugin: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59 4. Get your iPhone's user agent from the phpinfo() call or you can use the following Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/1A543a Safari/419.3 5. Enable User Agent Switcher if you haven't and go to options and then options. 6. Go to user agents and click on add. 7. Input the following (the UA is cut off; use #4's UA) 8. Click OK on everything and turn your UA to "iPhone" 9. Now go to http://jailbreakme.com 10. Look @ what you teh got!! :shock: So, what do ya think? You CANNOT jailbreak your mac because it was never umm "jailed". It's just a fun thing you can try in your spare time.
