Once I get used to OSX, I wanna dual boot it on my laptop, or maybe put it on an external HDD.

It's a Fujitsu P7010D, and it's begging for OSX...I wish I had one of those cool white ones, that would kickarse, but hey, I'm not complaining.

It uses the Intel i855GME, which I've heard doesn't work. If it does, can I use 1280x768? If not forget it.

Also C-Media Audio?- does that work?

Realtek ethernet shouldn't be a problem, I've had good experiences with it..

A true OSX86 ultralight...I wanna test it out just to see battery life diff. and stuff like that...dang it, but I guess maybe I should hold off? I dunno...watchu guys think?

Yes, it does roxors, except for the friggin USB port overloading problem...took a month and half for a new mobo to come in, the USB ports on the P5k's were better I've heard.

I tried it out just now, using my bro's iPod that he doesn't use as the HDD...getting kernel panics. Possible to fix this at the command line? I'll check out those 830gm hacks you mentioned...

I also posted this in the i830 thread:

I just tried this on my Fujitsu P7kD. OSX kernel-panic'd before I did anything. I tried removing all the kexts that had to do with Intel Video, didn't help much, only made Darwin 'think' more before kernel-panicking. Single-user mode/command line doesn't work either, it hangs, waiting for something...I'll check what...you know what, this post really belongs in my thread...ow well...

I have my Fijitsu LOOX T70J (Japanese Model P7010 equivalent) installed and working.

1280x768 and Quartz Extreme works after I patch the AppleIntelIntegratedGraphics.kext file (no need to patch AppleIntel830 files), no Core Image.

Built-in keyboard (Japanese) and trackpad works after I set the platform=X86PC kernel flags.

AC97 Audio works fine, even got SPDIF Out recognised.

mine is a black one...

I didn't run into any kernel panic.

At first it would lockup on video. Boot into safe mode get me passed that point.

I then applied the patch on AppleIntelIntegratedGraphics.kext and the video works perfect. 1280x768 on LCD, 1600x1200 on external monitor, QE support is there too.

I do have to add platform=X86PC to make my keyboard and track pad to work.

One strange behavior I found on the video. If I boot directly into OS X after power on, it will lockup on video. If I boot into Windows XP first, then restart and boot into OS X. As long as the power stays on. OS X video will work without any problem.

Hope these helps.
