  1. Leopard on a Shuttle K45 - MiniHack

    Sorry I haven't read the whole thread yet but have a few things about K45 to share here. 1. The perfect K45/SD30G2 GMA 950 fix has been found, check here you can try my K45 DSDT.aml file at page 6 2. K45 and SD30G2 can accept 2x2GB RAM, but you can use only 3.25GB in OS X 3. GenericCPUPowerManagement 1.1 would kill my K45 every one or two days, it never crash after I removed GenericCPUPowerManagement 4. You can install a slim DVD burner in K45 and the screws are include in the K45 package. But you need a new face plate and an adapter board if installing an IDE DVD burner. Shuttle Japan is actually selling the kit on their site but it's rather expensive. The face plate is only recently available here in Taiwan, not sure about the availability in other countries...
  2. dsbaha asked me for a copy of the K45 dsdt.aml, it's maybe a good idea to post both of my Shuttle dsdt.aml here so others having troubles compile their own can give them a try Below are the Shuttle K45 dsdt.aml and Shuttle SD30G2 dsdt.aml files K45_GAM950_DSDT.zip SD30G2_GAM950_DSDT.zip
  3. Many thanks to Dr. Hurt and roisoft. I have tested this DSDT fix on my Shuttle K45 and Shuttle SD30G2, both works perfectly! Basically I added the following 2 sections into my DSDT.dsl files and recompiled them. Method (DTGP, 5, NotSerialized) { If (LEqual (Arg0, Buffer (0x10) { /* 0000 */ 0xC6, 0xB7, 0xB5, 0xA0, 0x18, 0x13, 0x1C, 0x44, /* 0008 */ 0xB0, 0xC9, 0xFE, 0x69, 0x5E, 0xAF, 0x94, 0x9B })) { If (LEqual (Arg1, One)) { If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero)) { Store (Buffer (One) { 0x03 }, Arg4) Return (One) } If (LEqual (Arg2, One)) { Return (One) } } } Store (Buffer (One) { 0x00 }, Arg4) Return (Zero) } Device (PEGP) { Name (_ADR, 0x00020000) Device (GFX0) { Name (_ADR, Zero) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x1A) { "device_type", Buffer (0x08) { "display" }, "model", Buffer (0x07) { "GMA950" }, "built-in", Buffer (One) { 0x01 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } } }
  4. OSX on a Fujitsu P7010D

    I am dual booting from internal drive. Booting from external drive is not working. Today I found the CF card slot on my machine is woking under OS X. The SD/MS card slot is not working because lacking of driver.
  5. [HowTo] Intel 8xx 1280x800 Full Support

    My 2 posts in another thread, chipset is 855GME ================================ I have my Fijitsu LOOX T70J (Japanese Model P7010 equivalent) installed and working. 1280x768 and Quartz Extreme works after I patch the AppleIntelIntegratedGraphics.kext file (no need to patch AppleIntel830 files), no Core Image. Built-in keyboard (Japanese) and trackpad works after I set the platform=X86PC kernel flags. AC97 Audio works fine, even got SPDIF Out recognised. ================================ At first it would lockup on video. Boot into safe mode get me passed that point. I then applied the patch on AppleIntelIntegratedGraphics.kext and the video works perfect. 1280x768 on LCD, 1600x1200 on external monitor, QE support is there too. I do have to add platform=X86PC to make my keyboard and track pad to work. One strange behavior I found on the video. If I boot directly into OS X after power on, it will lockup on video. If I boot into Windows XP first, then restart and boot into OS X. As long as the power stays on. OS X video will work without any problem. Hope these helps.

    mine is a black one... I didn't run into any kernel panic. At first it would lockup on video. Boot into safe mode get me passed that point.
