I got my 7300GS fully running under tiger, but every time i try it in leopard it seems to freeze at startup.

I'm using NVInject the latest version, also when i boot up tiger using -v i see nvinject being loaded but with leopard i dont see this. Am i doing something wrong?

Thnx :)

You have PCIe or AGP?

I have PCIe :censored2:

want to try using the kext in my sig? it should have 7300gs support.. btw you are using leopard right?

Ok ill try it as soon as i get home :angel: And yes i use leopard :wacko:

Edit:

I've tried it, copied the files to my extensions folder, edited geforce.kext, nvdaresman.kext and natit.kext with my dev id (01df) i need to edit these because else i will get a kernel panic. I do see NVDA being loaded and starting display 1, but i'm still facing the same problem with the hanging...

Did you install a fresh copy of Leo or just upgraded your Tiger installation? I installed Titan in Tiger, then upgraded my Tiger installation with Leo, and my 7300gs worked perfectly without me having to touch anything.

Hi -

Yeah just go here and download NVInject for Leo V 0.13 This is working for me very well in Leopard.

I have the 7300GS with dvi going to my acer 20" widescreen monitor @ 1650x1080

Hello

Can you tell me if you make something with your DEVICE-ID or just make install the driver ?

Because my Asus 7300 GT Silent don't work too on TV-OUT (S-VHS connector).

:thumbsdown_anim:

I'm getting some progress, i loaded leopard without the geforce kexts but with nvinject. Then i placed them all back in the extensions folder, repaired the permissions and tried a kextload -t on geforce.kext and nvdaresman.kext this is what i get

bash-3.2# kextload -t /System/Library/Extensions/Geforce.kext
extension /System/Library/Extensions/Geforce.kext has potential problems:
Warnings
{
"Kext has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style" = true
}

kextload: extension /System/Library/Extensions/Geforce.kext appears to be loadable

And the same for nvdaresman...

So it seems they can be loaded, but when i reboot i do see nvinject being loaded but it is still hanging :(

I had exactly the same problem when I done a clean Leo ToH install. I changed the devID's in the relevent kexts, I tried all versions of both Natit and NVInject but all had the same results. Then I took a shot in the dark and tried Titan.... worked perfectly first time. No dual-screen, but hey you cant have everything, lol.

But if anyone does know how to get NVInject working on this card with Leo that would be fantastic.

there's a NEW Latest_NVinject.0.1.5-Leo.zip out but as you said dump it do the Chmod chown things with the permissions file also on the site and VIOLA!!

I just got an ASUS en7300GS and WOW!! even with the monitor turned 90deg on it's side it looks terrific!!!!!!!

Im getting some progress :D

I used mac nub's installer and this is what i got now :P

Im getting a error about loading the geforce.kext on startup, so thats why i dont have CI/QE yet. Also my VRAM is reported wrong.

Im gonna try the latest version now and see how it goes now...

EDIT:

IT'S WORKING!

I'm using the latest version of NVInject now, also i needed to repair premissions on the geforce.kext

Ok for some reason the latest nvinject isnt working here. I installed it and the machine booted ok, login screen appeared and I typed my password.. then instead of bringing up my desktop it just got stuck at a blue screen with a mouse pointer showing in the top left. I restored Titan and the system is now back to normal. This is so weird. Perhaps its the GeForce, NVDANV40Hal and NVDAResman versions Im using or something? If anyone who has the latest nvinject working for them could pass over their kexts, I'd be eternally grateful :thumbsup_anim:
