I have a HP Compaq nx9600 with ATI Mobility X300 PCIe and Ive been up and down all the forums with NOTHING on getting this vid card to work in Leopard. There has GOT to be a guru out that can get this working for all of us. Its so frustrating even typing this reply at 1024x768 on my widescreen laptop.

Calling all Hackintosh gurus....HELP!!!!!!!!

No, it works for me on leopard now. Just use the kext file for Tiger :)

Good news everyone.

I got my x300 going now. No QE yet but I have the full range of resolutions to choose from.

Go here. I used build 005 since thats the one I've heard the most success stories about.

Gonna try build 008 now.

[uPDATE] Build 008 does not work for me, after the gray apple screen at boot it sort of melted to black.

Did you enter your monitor EDID into the patch, evey time i did this patch I got a black screen

I think most of us in this thread have gotten that far already (can change resolution, and in verbose mode, it lists all the monitor modes read off the EDID). The issue is QE/CI still say not supported and software, respectively despite Callisto working properly.

For me, except QE/CI does not work, there is also other problem relates sleep mode. I am using thinkpad T43, vga=x300. After my laptop go to sleep, then i press Fn button, there is no thing appear on screen although the hardisk status led is working normal.

Is there anyone able to fix this problem?

Please tell me.
