Grav3Mind Posted November 15, 2007 Share Posted November 15, 2007 id like to be able to use desktop effects but openSUSE is saying that my Nvidia Geforce 5500FX 256mb doesnt support 3d acceleration. its also not letting me use 32 bit color. any ideas as to why? cause id REALLY like to use it. getting this to work and my usb WAN is the only things i lack. In Linux 32 bit color is normally called 24 bit. In order to have 3d acceleration you need to install the Nvidia driver: http://en.opensuse.org/NVIDIA#openSUSE_10.3 If it doesn't work: http://en.opensuse.org/NVIDIA#The_hard_way The "hard way" is not that hard, IMO.
