After more digging around, I finally got the ToH release to work. all four cores have been recognised, QE/CI works, 4gig ram works, took about 20sec to boot up.

Initially I was getting kernel panic after installing ToH release on third partition of my hardrive (xp and tiger being the other two partitions). Running the script which came with ToH didn't fix the problem.

I was able to boot into 32bit mode with -legacy

After reading up on Brazilmac's guides, I finally got it to boot properly.

Things to watch out for:

1. make sure you do sudo -s before you run the script

2. make sure you read the instructions on how to run the script. The package comes with two scripts. Install the one for Post install, and make sure you use textedit to modify the script first and rename the image on your desktop.

I more or less followed the instructions here:

Once that's done, leopard will be able to boot up by itself properly.

Then apply the modified asap18's script to get sound and network working on asus p5k-e for leopard (google for p5k leopard)

I've patched it to 10.5.1 by downloading the Apple update from apple's website. However it won't reboot, so I had to repatch using Brazilmac's patch, then again using the modified p5k patch for leopard.

I've installed macfuse and ntfs-3g.

Outstanding issues:

- Leopard is running in 32bit mode and not 64bit

- Time Machine won't work

- NTFS volumes are mounted but display a -n in the name.

If you download 10.5.1, make sure you drop the dsmos.kext into your extensions folder otherwise your system will stick on the spinning circle. This is needed with the std Apple kernel even with the latest netkas Efi boot loader. Hope this enables you to upgrade to 10.5.1.

Actually I've upgraded to 10.5.1. I just had to run Brazilmac's patch and p5k-e leopard patch once more after I upgraded to 10.5.1 from apple, otherwise it kernel panics upon boot.Latest status. Verified system is running in 64bit. Only thing not working is Time Machine.

I'm not sure if I'm using EFI. I'm triple-booting xp, tiger and leopard via the darwin bootloader. Right now I'm using leopard, but if it stuffs up then I have the option of either booting into safe mode, or boot into tiger to fix it. xp is for games.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. Maybe we should work together on it.

If you would like, I we can do the DVD with my old patcher, like the one BWR and JaS modified for the JaS DVD's. I've got the bootloader figured out for post install. We should talk via PM on this from now on.

that would be awesome. Is anyone with the p5k having issues with USB? I was using my usb stick last nite and after unmounting and remounting it a few times into leopard, eventually it wouldn't recognise it until I do a reboot. When it was recognised I had no problems with it.
