CompCrasher86
Hey everyone this is my second install of OSX... I have a Compaq Presario 2500 Series (Model 2581US) notebook as the target computer I have partitioned my 80gb hd to 54 for WinXP Pro and 20 for OSX (HDD truly only has 74gb) I insert my DVD into drive during boot I see darwin boot screen and press enter (I have tried booting with -x already) A fair amount of dos-like text flashes up This is where it gets weird Waiting on <dict ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict> extension "com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient" cannot be found can't find extension com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient Can't determine dependencies for com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserclient. Couldn't alloc class "IOUSBUserClientInit" extension "com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient" cannot be found can't find extension com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient Can't determine dependencies for com.apple.iokit.IOUSBUserClient Couldn't alloc class "IOUSBUserClientInit" ApplePS2Trackpad: Synaptics Touchpad v5.9 | (The | is a solid white rectangle taking up one block) And it freezes at this screen until I turned it off after twenty minutes because Ctrl-Alt-DEL doesnt work nor does my power button. Oh I should mention that while frozen at this screen the computer does not seem to be idle as the fans come on eventually and stay on, blowing a continuous stream of hot air I attached a picture of the problem Anybody have any suggestions on how to get this to work????? CompCrasher86
My processor is a Mobile Pentinum 4 Northwood Socket 478 at 2.3ghz supporting SSE2, I have a ATI RS200/RS200M Chipset, I have the most up to date BIOS, 768mBytes of RAM, and an existing 54gb Windows XP Professional Partition. I know my disc is not bad because the installer loaded just fine on my friend's Dell Core 2 Duo laptop today from my disc. It seems to me like it is freezing when loading drivers for my Synaptics Touchpad but that is kind of obvious. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP... I AM DESPERATE! gonzex
i think this isn't a synaptics driver problem, because if i plug a PS/2 mouse, the touchpad gets disabled, and then, when i boot the install dvd, the "ApplePS2Trackpad: Synaptics Touchpad v5.9" line does not show up, but im still getting stuck after "Couldn't alloc class "IOUSBUserClientInit"".... Alacres
Ah, so I guess I'm not the only one who's having this problem. Is it just a hardware compatibility issue?
