stryder
Running TOP in the terminal, copy and paste your iMac CoreDuo's memory useage here for scrutiny. I know the developer releases for x86 used about 200MB more than the public releases for the PowerPC. How does the public release compare? stryder
Why would you expect the numbers to have anything to do with the processor type? Memory usage in the system is related to what applications are doing, not what order the bits are arranged in... Because I would like to determine if OSX on the iMac Core-Duos is more memory-hungry than on the PowerPC. I know from experience that the memory useage of the OS is much greater on the DTK, but that may have been due to "debug" code implemented. I'm looking for people to just simply post their memory used/free for analysis. Why is this so difficult, and why the arguments? Not interested? Skip the thread, then.
