driesel
Hi, I've just downloaded the 2.8 GB big original OS X 10.4.3 DTK DMG-file. I followed the instructions as thy are to be found on the Maxxus site: *converted to ISO-format *Applied Jas 4.2b all-in-one patch *burnt the patched ISO using Nero on a DVD-RW disc (should it be DVD+/-R?) So, I've put the burnt DVD into my DVD-drive and it booted. But after Darwin bootup message I got a greyish screen whith the message "please restart your computer" (or something like that) in about 4 different languages or so. I was a bit surprised since I thought beginning installation wasn't the real problem . Note: I haven't got any free partition (but this can't be the problem, right? since partioning might be possible in the installation wizard) So my question now is: What should I do to make it work? Have I missed something? Did something wrong? These are my system specs: Pentium 4 3.06 GHz Northwood-B 533 MHz FSB MSI NEO-LSR s478 875P 512 MB RAM NO raid (40 + 80 GB) GF 5200 128 MB VGA USB mouse + PS/2 KB etc. greetings, driesel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7055-help-problems-with-installation-of-os-x-1043/ Share on other sites
driesel
Can anybody, please, tell me what I did wrong and what I should do? It's supposed to work on my system, isn't it? driesel
Mm, I've tried to load the patched DVD image into VMWARE, but I get the SAME erroneous message! Is my image file corrupt? How comes the image doesn't work in VMWARE either? greetings, driesel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7055-help-problems-with-installation-of-os-x-1043/#findComment-45398 Share on other sites
driesel
PLEASE! Can someone reply, please? I'm quite desperate now... *I've downloaded the 10.4.3 DTK *Converted it to ISO with Ultra-iso *Applied the JaS 4.3b patch *Burnt it to a DVD-RW disc with Ultra-iso (2x speed) This is the right thing to do, right? But when I boot the disc on startup with the -v command, I get this message: "Waiting for remote debugger connection - kdp_poll: no debugger device" So why doesn't it work? What does the error mean? How can I resolve the problem? I have a SSE2 CPU, a 875P mobo, so theoretically it should work...but it doesn't. What to do than...please . greetings Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/7055-help-problems-with-installation-of-os-x-1043/#findComment-45456 Share on other sites

johnniecarcinogen
"Waiting for remote debugger connection - kdp_poll: no debugger device" This is not the error, the error is a 'panic' above this. Whenever there is a kernel panic darwin checks for a debugger, like another computer or whatever. NatureX
I had the same problem and couldn't figure it out. What I did to get it running was, downloaded a pre-patched version, with Jas4.2b. For some reason, it installed, and once I thought it was going to say please reboot, it said, Starting Mac OS.... Try to get the pre-patched version.
