I'm running 10.4.3 8F1111 with JAS patches. There are entire threads on higher resolutions and ATi or GMA900/GMA950 cards. No other cards have a chance, though. I can also confirm however that 1600x1280x32 will NOT work, and will bump back down to 1280x1024x32. i run 2048x1536 on a 19'' Iiyama - perfect for iPhoto!
