Ok, so I have installed the flat image Leopard from demon and I got everything working except for sound. I have a Dell Dimension 9150 with a Sigmatel 9200 High Defintion audio card. I have tried the AppleHDApatcher but it doesn't work. Under sound it shows "HD Audio Output" but I can't get any sound to come out. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or patches that I could try? Also, if anyone has been able to get a Sigmatel card to work with Leopard, please let me know how you did it. Thanks for the help.

AppleHDApatcher doesn´t show "HD Audio Output", if you have in it´s because you´re using other audio driver.

Has anyone else had the 1.16 OR 1.15 patcher fail after drag-and-dropping the TXT codec dump onto it? I'm getting an "unsupported codec" failure in the Patcher details. I've downloaded all new patcher and codec files, there is no rich text in my dump... I'm just getting the error. Perhaps I should try placing the patcher in the /System/Library/Extensions directory or run the patcher as root?

I tried copying over AppleHDA.kext and ALCinject from my 10.4.9 build but that didn't work. Am I missing a kext there?

Any help would be appreciated.

Well I tried the AzaliaAudio patch and that didn't do anything either. Then I tried the new Leopard HDA patcher and still nothing. Basically I have tried all the patchers but still don't have any audio. I was thinking of getting an external USB audio device, such as M-Audio Audiophile USB or the Creative X-Fi, would something like this work straight out of the box?

Taruga oh Mac Sound god! :censored2:

Please help with this?!

Chayss is spot on - I installed the flat image and everything is working except my sigmatel 9200

it does indeed show up as "HD Audio Output" device under sound devices.

I've tried the AppleHDA 1.7 leopard patcher with the sigmatel9200.txt as well as the stac9200.txt.

Neither of them produce any results! In actual fact once the sigmatel9200.txt patch is applied and rebooted there are no sound devices at all afterwards!

Some help on this would be GREATLY appreciated! -_-

I got SigmaTel CXD 9872 Sony Vaio FE21M sound working.

I copied the file AppleHDA.kext from an JAS 10.4.8 install into a Leopard ToH install.

Then ran AppleHDAPatcher_v1.5 With a "codec#0" I got from a Ubuntu LiveCD boot up.

The speakers and the internal mic both work.

In System Profiler it shows

Intel High Definition Audio:

Device ID: 0x104D81EF

Audio ID: 12

Hello,

I have the same Sound Card, but I can't find codec#0. Can you please post the dump file and the AppleHDA.kext you used?
