Macpaq
Hi, I used this APPLE.MAC.OSX.LEOPARD.V10.5.ISO-OSX, followed BrazilMac-9a581-Patch, made an iso. I then burned it to a DVD. I put a blank SATA hd in my laptop, boot up with the new made DVD to install, First Darwin came up, took awhile, then I get to the screen to choose language, I did that, then it gets to the Preparing Installation screen, the the Welcome..... Select a Destination, then I got this screen. I am also a bit confused on the 2nd part of the guide where it says using another partition to boot up, can someone help explian it to me? Soory, I am new to this and still playing with it. Any help will be really appreciated. Macpaq
Yeah, I created the 4.4 G SL-DVD. I didn't remove anything except whatever the brazil patch remove. Since I don't know enough, I didn't what to touch, if you mean the optional installation thing in all mac install disk, I didn't even got that far, the failed installation screen came up before that. rathalos
what i mean is that the part where they ask you to select the packages... as in the part where you customise your install... u need to deselect things like languages that you removed and the printers that you removed... or else its gonna give u install failed... This is pretty much what I am getting too. I downloaded the Brazilmac and burned to a DVD. I then reformatted my USB jumpdrive and unzipped the folder to it. All went well I put the DVD in and rebooted. I hit F12 and selected boot from cd and OSX started installing from Darwin. I selected english and when the customize screen came up I unchecked all (except for the main sys ones which was grayed out anyhow) and it when into reboot verbose mode and then I get a screen shopt just like that. I can use the tool bar to open the command but I try to type in cd .. cd .. and all that but it says not found...folder not found. Any one come across this ? I know I am close to getting this installed. BTW I formatted the HD I am installing onto as FAT32 & it is an IDE [not sure if this matters]
