That looks like a really nice unit and it certainly has specs that are agreeable with a fairly easy OS X install. If you give it a go please keep us informed.

i just wonder how much their core dual version is gonna cost (hopefully the same as the intel mac mini or less)

I have the Aopen Mini PC, with a pentium M, and it works wonderfully with 10.4.6. Just need to install the GMA 900 patch and Intel patches, and you should be fine. However, the optional AOpen wireless card is not recognized (which was a real bummer).

If anyone can figure out how to get the included wireless working, please let us know.

Do you have the MP-915 or the MP-945? Could you tell us whether or not everything works (including audio and USB/firewire)? Thanks a lot!

I have the MP-915 and everything works, except for usb 2.0. All USB devices are limited to 12 Mb/s, which is an issue i'm currenty trying to resolve. IOUSBFamily.kext from 10.4.3 didn't fix the issue, nor did the 10.4.7. I'm hoping that 10.4.8 will resolve the issue, if not, I'll try 10.4.1. I'm really hoping something will fix the issue, since I've been planning on using the MiniPC with EyeTV and use it as a media center.

Other than that, everything works perfectly, including coregraphics, coreaudio, and firewire as well (I have an external 250 gig drive connected).

I have a Mac Mini clone. Aopen Mp915-x

surely this should be simple and nice and happy but its not its amazingly fantastically annoying.

Intel Pentium m 770 2.13ghz processor

60gb ide (although special connector to mobo)

motherboard is an i915gm with onboard graphics

installed ideneb and all went fine with that,

i booted i get a usb error achi.

and it hangs because it is still waiting for root device

i get around the root device issue once with some 3am godsend that i cant now replicate

but it now wont recognize my keyboard

you guys are not only in the know but are the guys that make the know known so i thought i'd be best of asking you.

any tips, tricks direction or tales of similar experience and triumphs i'm sure would help.

i have searched and am starting to go a little crazy an word blind now

i have no other mac in the house and my bios is the most basic i've ever come across.
