I've got macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_for_dtk_userdvd.dmg, converted it to ISO and applied 1111a.Generic.Patch.v4.2b.

The thing is, my CPU supports SSE3, so there's no need to emulate it. But without the patch, the installer doesn't load (I'm installing it into a physical drive but using VMWare).

So, how can I remove 10.4.3 protection or whatever it is that is keeping me from installing it without adding the SSE3 emulation?

Thanks

FEde

Solved. I installed Wesley's patch, which let's me select which extensions I want to install :D

so wait a sec.

lets say i get the same image.. the dtk one. and im on a windows environment.

i have an SSE3 compatible processor aswell.

what exactly would i need to run it on this computer without patching the living {censored} out of it.

currently the one i hvae is the 8fffffg with JaS 4.2b and Maxxuss patch or something.

lets say i wanted to make my OWN iso with the least amount of unneccesary stuff.

More importantly, i have the same system, and its running so good, but i dont know if the see3 is being emulated or not, how can i tell? AND how can i unpatch my osw fromwithin so see3 is enabled again,

My mobo is a Inel 915GAGX with gma900 and sata harddrive, everything works perfect i can run any application i have tested, but.. iam running in see3?

My osx is: macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_for_dtk_userdvd.dmg, converted it to ISO and applied 1111a.Generic.Patch.v4.2b.

Thank

I believe the idea with JaS's patch was that it came with all patches applied. However, he includes all the stuff you need in folders in the root directory to make your own kernel with just the patches you want. I haven't done it so I don't know the details of making a custom kernel, but I don't think it's hard. The following is directly from JaS himself:

The kernel has all the patches applied so that it will be compatible with

the largest number of systems available from the get-go. You can replace

the kernel with the version with fewer patches after installation if you

wish. You can create your own kernel using maxxuss's patchfiles set in the Patches Directory

you can find this info, and probably more detailed instructions for making a new kernel at http://win2osx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2351

Sorry for dropping in. I have the same "problem", my Celeron supports SSE3 and I want to remove the SSE3 patch from the kernel. In the patch-Folder supplied from JaS are only three UNDO-ppf's... And now guess which of the four applied patches can't be undone with this files?

So, has anyone out there a solution? PM is okay to me.
