Do you think my machine can run Leopard or even Tiger with these specs:

Processor: Intel Core2 CPU @ 1.83 GHz (x2)

Graphics: NIVIDA Quadro NVS 110M

Network: Dell Wireless WLAN 1390 Mini-Card

Sound: SIGMATEL 9200

Storage: SATA Device

Anything else you think I should include with specs?

good question. i patched my leopard cd with the brazilmac patch and it booted surprisingly perfectly into the installer. i installed leopard no problem but when i restarted i just got a blinking marker in the upper left. the patch seems a little buggy still so i'm waiting for an update, hopefully tonight....

leopard is working, the graphics are a little choppy for some reason. i have the dell wireless 1490 card and it can view wireless networks but for some reason it doesn't connect to any network? anyone with a dell wireless card have the same problem?

sound doesn't work either, but i just downloaded the hda patcher for leopard so i'll see if that works out.

looking forward to getting it working smoothly!

The trick is you should not install nVidia drivers during setup.

Complete setup.

Then, after reboot type "-v CPUS=1" w/o quotes at startup prompt, edit boot options (add same lines to your startup script) or disable one core in BIOS and only then install nVidia drivers.

interesting. I did install nvidia drivers during setup since one of them mentioned support for the geforce 7300 (not that the quadro 110m is exactly the same but it's close enough). I did the install with dual core, but then when I got the sluggish performance issue at first boot, I went to single core and it worked ok. Then to get past the looking welcome menu I transferred user profile and network settings from another mac (a working hackintosh install on an sse2 thinkpad t42) and now it is working great, great performance (though core solo) and all the graphical effects. Proper screen resolution and everything.

Now I just need to begin the process of getting the broadcom gigabit card working, then I'll probably buy the dell wireless card to replace the intel 3945.

I got Kalyway Leopard 10.5.1 working on my D620 with GForce.mkpg video driver.

What I haven't got it to work yet are internal LAN and sound.

Are you still having issues with your sound. I have got it working on my d620 now and will give you a hand if you need it. As for the internal lan and intel wireless i have had no luck yet.
