Is it possible to install Mac os x86 on my laptop?

Is the hardware compatible?

If its possible do you think that it would run faster then vista and without a lot of problems?

What problems are you having with Vista?

This model laptop was designed for Vista. I would not expect osx86 to be more stable than Vista is.

That said, the limited specs that you listed should run x86 well. Do not expect a perfect installation though...

I have a lot of problems with Vista!

1. My user account have the admin rights but Vista dont let me sometime to move my projects or to delete them!

2. when i open the i.e. my vista crash down completely! This is a 2 week old system and i have only photoshop illustrator and flash installed on it!Thats not normal...

3. I have sometimes Bluescreens! And vista is very very very slow.... Linux is 10 times faster then vista!

If it doesnt work with the osx86 i have to buy a mac but a mac is very expensiv and i dont have so much money at this moment....

rootnik,

Wrong about a couple things ;) Just because Vista is being bad that doesn't mean OS X will run well. And even though the laptop originally came with Vista, any other SO will run fine on it. But you are right that the listed specs will run OS X well.

I think you misunderstood me. I never said that because Vista is running bad that OSX would run well... I can't even understand what was posted that would lead anybody to believe that it would.

And yes, many current generation laptops are designed for Vista specifically. In some of these you will be hard pressed to even find drivers for XP.

The point that I was trying to make with the limited information provided was that if he is not willing to take the time to figure out the problems with the OS that came installed with his laptop, osx86 is not for him. Personally, now knowing the problems he is having with a 2 week old laptop I would recommend returning it. I run Vista with a very similar Gateway laptop and do not experience any of those problems listed.
