I am thinking of getting the $1,799 iMac with the wireless mouse and keyboard and putting 4gb RAM in later. I have one problem i have to go to my neighbor's house to get on wireless internet. With the money you saved, you could get an external keyboard, mouse and larger monitor for home use. At 1799, see if you can't find a Macbook Pro! $1799 will buy you the mid-range Macbook, a 20-24" widescreen LCD, and a keyboard/mouse. It's a good compromise if he needs portability. Also, I have recently gotten into Photoshop. And I play some computer games. There is a very slight chance i will be getting internet at my house by the end of the year.
