Alter,

Why don't you try reading one of the 50 other threads thats discusses the x200 chipset. If you did take the time to actually search you would find out that QE/CI is not working and there is a 99.9% chance that it will never work on OS X.

Since you seem to be incapable of performing a search rather then adding to the bloat of the forums by adding yet ANOTHER thread on the x200.....Here are just a few threads that quickly came up when you search the term x200.

PAK,

What do you mean you got it working? Quartz Extreme and Core Image are both working? Can you please post a screen shot from System Profiler to prove this? People have been trying for over 2 years to get a working kext for the x200. How exactly did you manage to get it working?

Is there any way to force another resolution besides 1024x768, such as 1280x800 or 1680x1050?

And judging by your other posts it seems you feast off of other's ignorance of posting rather than searching. Why do you do this?

Originally I found thrid party drivers on

http://installers.dl.am/

And then came to

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=19806&st=0

from there I was asking if who made those drivers had other drivers, I suppose I should have clarified that.

"I think that most of us though who are stuck with these cheapo x200's are not quite skilled enough to do any kernel work."

How much money you have does not effect your abillity to do kernal work.

OK, those links all pertain to getting the ATI 1400 and 1600 series working. A fairly simple process because Apple provides a kext for the 1600 which can be suffiently modified to either of those cards. The x200 was an ATI {censored} child. The way it handles the "hypermemory" on the card prevents third party solutions such as Titan and Natit from working properly. OS X simply has no framework to deal with this type of memory architecture.
